Florida MV Express is a self-service kiosk that offers a fast and easy way to renew your vehicle registration. Simply type your renewal notice PIN or your license plate number and date of birth of the first registered owner on the touch-screen. The ATM-like machine will accept your payment and print your registration and license plate decal on the spot!

Any Florida resident may use any Florida MV Express kiosk in the state. You'll need to provide a Registration Renewal Notice PIN or a License Plate Number  and the Date of Birth of the first registered owner in order to renew a registration.

You can renew at a kiosk from 90 days before to your expiration date and up to 8 months after your expiration date (late fees may apply).

Along with your renewal cost and any late fees (if applicable), you will be charged up to a $3.50 service fee at a tax collector's office and a $4.50 service fee at all Publix MV Express kiosks. Additionally, if paying by credit or debit card, there is a 2.3% processing fee.

Credit and debit card payments are accepted at all kiosks. Some kiosks also accept cash. See individual kiosk listings for details on accepted payment methods.

• Vehicle registrations that don’t require a new license plate to be issued
• Vehicle registrations that don’t have insurance, driver license, or toll suspensions
• Vehicle registrations that do not require a Florida Certificate of Insurance or IRS Heavy Vehicle Use Tax “2290”

The following are NOT eligible to be renewed at a kiosk:

• Autonomous vehicles
• Boats
• Government vehicles
• IRP Registrations
• Mobile homes
• National Guard license plates
• Personalized plates
• Parking permit or placards

Simply type your Renewal Notice PIN or your License Plate Number and Date of Birth of the first registered owner on the touch-screen.

Follow the instructions to review your vehicle record, and pay fees with credit or debit (or cash if available). The machine will print your receipt, registration, and decal on the spot. Just grab your documents and go!

You will not be able to renew at the kiosk if you need to show proof of auto insurance.

You will need to do one of the following to provide insurance information to the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles:

• Update your insurance information online at services.flhsmv.gov
• Take your proof of insurance to a driver license office
• Call (850) 617-2000 and use the automated system to update your insurance
• Mail in a response to the letter notifying you that insurance information is needed

No, you’ll need to visit your local Tax Collector’s office to change your address.

No, the kiosk will only process a renewal. It cannot issue replacement decals or change the name or address on your motor vehicle registration. Please visit your local Tax Collector’s office for this service.

If you renew at a Florida MV Express kiosk, your registration card and license plate decal will print out immediately.

If you renew online, you'll have to wait for your card and decal to be mailed to you.
